2001: The Beginning, in Aventura

Feel the Heal started in 2001 in Aventura, Florida, when a 21-year-old Daryn Herzfeld opened her doors with no business background — just a deep belief in the body's ability to heal itself. That belief came from years of travel studying herbal medicine and midwifery, including assisting in over fifty births, which shaped her lifelong fascination with how the body restores balance on its own. She earned her credentials as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Colon Hydrotherapist, and Licensed Master Esthetician, and built Feel the Heal around a simple idea that was ahead of its time: your gut and your skin are talking to each other.

Growing Up on 79th Street

As word spread and the client base grew, Feel the Heal moved into a second home off 79th Street, where the business spent years refining its craft. This is where Feel the Heal earned recognition as one of Miami New Times' Best of Miami winners, and where press attention from outlets like People Magazine, Forbes, Ocean Drive, and Aventura Magazine began to take notice of Daryn's approach to gut health and skincare.

2025: A New Chapter at the Historic Knoxon

After three years of planning, Feel the Heal relocated in 2025 to its current home inside the Knoxon — a piece of Miami history in its own right, originally built in the 1950s as part of the Biscayne Boulevard motel row during Miami's Mid-Century Modern (MiMo) era. Moving into a building with that much character felt fitting: a mid-century Miami landmark, restored and reimagined, housing a wellness practice built on the same idea of restoring and renewing.

26 Years Later

Today, Feel the Heal is Miami's longest-standing gut-to-skin wellness destination — offering colon hydrotherapy, detox programs, and medical-grade skincare, alongside a full line of proprietary at-home products including the Take a Hike Parasite Protocol Kit. Twenty-five years in, the mission hasn't changed: healing from the inside out, one client at a time.
