Candida, Biofilms & Coffee Colonics: The Feel The Heal Approach
You know that feeling. You ate a salad for lunch (a salad!) and by 3 p.m. your jeans are staging a protest. Your brain feels like it’s wrapped in cotton. And there’s a cookie in the break room calling your name like an ex at 1 a.m.
We hear some version of this every week at Feel The Heal. Bloating that doesn’t care what you ate. Sugar cravings that feel less like a want and more like a hostage situation. A tiredness your third espresso can’t touch.
And a lot of the time, the conversation lands on the same two words: Candida and biofilm.
So let’s talk about both. No lab coat, no scare tactics. Just a conversation shaped by 25 years of wellness work in Miami, and how we make space for people who want to feel more at home in their bodies.
So what is Candida, anyway?
Here’s the thing many people don’t realize: Candida can normally live in your gut. Its presence alone does not mean there’s a problem. Think of your gut like a garden with many organisms sharing the space. When something feels off, it’s tempting to name one culprit, but the gut is more complicated than that.
Bloating, gas, cravings, and fatigue can happen for many reasons. If you’ve been struggling for a while, loop in a qualified healthcare professional. Testing and evaluation beat guessing every time.
Biofilm: the bouncer at the club
Yeast and bacteria can form communities surrounded by a protective layer called a biofilm. Picture a nightclub: the microorganisms are inside, and the biofilm is the bouncer at the door. It’s a useful way to understand why biofilms interest researchers, but it doesn’t tell us whether a particular person has a gut Candida biofilm or what would help them.
Research on gut biofilms is still developing, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. It’s one part of the conversation for clients curious about gut wellness, not a diagnosis we make from a list of symptoms.
Meet Bye O Film
Bye O Film is Feel The Heal’s biofilm-support supplement. For clients who want an at-home piece alongside their wellness visits, it offers a way to talk with our team about a routine that fits their goals. Read the label and ask a qualified healthcare professional about the ingredients before taking it, especially if you take medications, are pregnant or nursing, or have a health condition. No supplement is a proven cure for gut Candida.
You can browse our shop collections for Feel The Heal products.
Coffee colonics: a Feel The Heal favorite
If the supplement is the at-home conversation, a coffee colonic is time set aside to be cared for in person. Come see us on Biscayne Boulevard, and our team will talk you through the visit so nothing feels like a surprise. We love helping clients make room for a wellness experience that is theirs, with attention to comfort, hydration, and their individual goals.
Why coffee? Coffee enemas have a history in wellness traditions, and some clients choose them as part of their personal routine. We won’t pretend the science shows they treat Candida or clear biofilms. What we can offer is a positive, practitioner-guided experience and an honest conversation about what you’re hoping to get from it.
A colonic isn’t for everyone. If you’re pregnant or have a heart or kidney condition, inflammatory bowel disease, recent abdominal surgery, or a hemorrhoid flare-up, talk to your healthcare professional before booking. Tell our team about your health history so we can discuss whether the visit is right for you.
Putting it all together
Think of gut wellness as a rhythm, not a one-and-done magic trick: check in on persistent symptoms, make room for food and habits that work for you, and choose supportive experiences that fit your life. For some people, that includes a colonic at Feel The Heal and a conversation about at-home products. For others, the first step is a medical evaluation. Both can be part of taking yourself seriously.
We’ve been doing this work for 25 years, and we’d love to welcome you. Visit Feel The Heal to explore booking, or call 305-466-9268. Find us at 7411 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 202, Miami, FL 33138.
