Protocol Q & A

WHAT ARE PARASITES?

Parasites are organisms that live off other living beings, like humans, to survive. When parasites invade your gut, they can cause a range of health issues. These unwelcome guests can lead to digestive problems such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating, and gas. They can also cause more severe symptoms like fatigue, unexplained weight loss, and nutrient deficiencies since they consume the nutrients your body needs. The presence of parasites can disrupt the balance of your gut microbiome, leading to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Overall, parasites can significantly impact your gut health and overall well-being, making it crucial to identify and address them effectively.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO A PARASITE CLEANSE?

When it comes to parasite detox, it's important to follow a comprehensive approach that considers the different life cycles of parasites and their various potential locations within the body. Given these variations, we suggest undergoing 4 to 5 detox cycles to effectively address the issue. Parasites can embed deep within the gut lining, and their release can occur at different intervals for each individual. Some parasites might even be microscopic, making detection and elimination more challenging. In cases of infestations, parasites may become visible in the toilet after a bowel movement. To aid the process, colonics and black walnut enemas are recommended to facilitate the expulsion of these parasites. A single detox cycle might not be sufficient; engaging in multiple cycles is often necessary to achieve meaningful results due to the complex nature of this detoxification process.

HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE PARASITES?

Detecting the presence of parasites in your body typically involves a combination of recognizing symptoms & undergoing specific tests (you can purchase an at home testing kit below) Common signs of parasitic infections can vary widely depending on the type of parasite involved, but they often include digestive issues like diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea. Other symptoms might involve fatigue, weight loss, itching, and skin rashes.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THEY ARE OUT OR IF IM PASSING THEM?

Common sensations might include abdominal discomfort, cramps, nausea, and changes in bowel movements such as diarrhea or constipation. Some individuals might notice visible signs in their stool, such as the presence of worms or small white or tan specks. However, it's important to remember that not all parasites cause noticeable symptoms, and some might remain undetected. It’s important to finish off the 30-day tincture, regardless of whether you see them pass physically or not. Doing home enemas helps to pass the parasites. Shop our disposable and reusable enema bags here.  If you in fact, know you have parasites, then after the 30 days you should notice those symptoms feeling better. That is a sign that you may have passed them. If you are still feeling symptoms, please continue another cycle of the Take A Hike Parasite protocol.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF HAVING PARASITES?

Here are common symptoms of having parasites: - Abdominal pain

- Diarrhea or constipation

- Nausea or vomiting - Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Bloating or gas

- Anal itching or discomfort - Fever
- Skin rashes or itching
- Joint or muscle pain

- Allergies or sensitivities - Changes in appetite

IS THIS A RECURRING PROCESS?

Parasite detox is vital due to the recurrent nature of these

organisms and their multiple life cycles. Recognizing that parasites lay eggs and have distinct life phases, we recommend 4 to 5 cycles with the Take A Hike Parasite protocol. Each Take A Hike Parasite Tincture, if taken daily will last one month. Each cycle lasts 30 days, followed by a two-week rest period. The time required for parasite removal varies. Some people see results within weeks, while others may take several months to a year. During this 2 week break, consider preparing for the next cycle by doing a Gallbladder flush with our Gallstones Be Gone Tincture.

NAVIGATING PARASITE DIE OFF SYMPTOMS

Detoxification might lead to symptoms like headaches, flu-like sensations, and fatigue. Be prepared for symptoms such as changes in bowel habits, skin reactions, and mood shifts. Remember, these symptoms are temporary and indicate the body's cleansing process.
Here are some common symptoms of die-off caused by parasites:

- Fatigue

- Headaches
- Muscle and joint pain
- Nausea
- Digestive issues (diarrhea, constipation, bloating) - Skin rashes or itching
- Flu-like symptoms (fever, chills)
- Mood swings or irritability
- Sleep disturbances

Keep in mind that symptoms can vary based on the type of parasite and your body’s response to treatment. To ease die-off symptoms, it's crucial to regularly cleanse your gut, whether through enemas or colonics at our Miami location, Feel The Heal. Don’t forget to use our Be Kind and Bind Gut Binder as well for added support or shop our home enema bags here

WHAT IS BEST TO EAT DURING A CLEANSE

A balanced diet rich in anti-parasitic foods can aid your detox journey.

- Incorporate garlic, ginger, pumpkin seeds, papaya & papaya seeds to support parasite elimination.
- Hydrate well with tons of water intake, wash all foods effectively, and consider adding herbal teas and probiotics to further cleanse your gut.

- Jump on a juice detox for the ultimate cleanse

A WHO CANNOT DO A PARASITE DETOX?

Parasite detoxing may not be suitable for everyone. Contraindications include:

1. Pregnancy and Nursing: Pregnant or nursing individuals should avoid parasite detoxes, as certain detox ingredients could harm the developing fetus or affect breast milk.

2. Underlying Health Conditions: People with chronic illnesses, weakened immune systems, or autoimmune disorders should consult a healthcare professional before attempting a parasite detox, as it could worsen their condition.

3. Medications: Some detox supplements may interact negatively with prescribed medications, leading to adverse effects or reduced medication efficacy.

4. Allergies: Individuals with allergies to certain herbs or detox ingredients should avoid parasite detox programs to prevent allergic reactions.

*It's important to consult a healthcare provider before starting any detox regimen, especially if you have underlying health concerns.

WHAT IS BIOFILM?

It is a very thick wall of organisms. This forms along the lining of your gut. Mucoid plaque is the combination of an unhealthy substance, biofilm and food residue. Therefore, the intestines can often store large amounts of partially digested matter. As well as other toxic chemicals for many years.

This film of digestive plaque is believed to have been created to protect the body. From toxic compounds, bad bacteria, and fungi. As a result, all of these can wreak havoc on your digestive system, especially the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, it can also help to protect your body from alcohol, heavy metals, and acidic by-products.if you have digestive plaque, then your body will struggle to function. As a result, healing cannot be at its optimal performance. This is why mucoid plaque cleanse programs have been created. A mucoid plaque cleanse is meant to effectively remove the toxins. As well as other unhealthy substances from the lining of your colon such as parasites. Using a biofilm disrupter can help disrupt that mucus like substance from the lining of the colon walls

helping digestion, absorption and the overall health of the colons functions.

CAN BIOFILM RELEASE IN STOOL?

In some people, these films go completely unnoticed. In others, biofilms in stool may look like a shiny film or mucus.

Benefits of biofilm disruptors for gut health

By removing the protective layers of biofilms, biofilm disruptors are essential for enhancing gut health. They do this to foster an environment where good bacteria can flourish and bad bacteria can be eliminated. This has a variety of advantages for gut health, such as:

•Restoring microbial balance: Biofilm disruptors encourage a healthy gut microbiome by removing the barriers that permit dangerous bacteria to predominate. This promotes the growth of helpful bacteria and aids in reestablishing microbial balance.

  • Alleviating digestive issues: Disruptors can reduce common digestive problems like bloating, gas,

constipation, and diarrhea by concentrating on biofilms. This may result in enhanced gut comfort

    and improved digestion.

  • Boosting immune function: By lowering the amount of harmful bacteria present, biofilm disruptors

contribute to the immune system's overall strength. The best immune response depends on a

healthy gut microbiome because it is so important in fighting off pathogens.

  • Enhancing nutrient absorption: Effective nutrient absorption depends on a healthy gut

microbiome. Biofilm disruptors can enhance nutrient absorption and overall nutrient status by fostering a healthy gut microbiome.

How do you know you have a biofilm?

Let me give you 4 hallmark signs that you should be aware of- that in my mind would indicate that there is a clinical benefit to implementing a biofilm disruptor.

#1 If you treat a gut infection and the medication (antibiotics or antimicrobial agents) seem ineffective towards the infection- this is a scenario that no matter what you throw at it- your not getting a handle on it.

#2 If your infection is chronic, meaning it keeps coming back, or you just can seem to shake it- again it is likely that you have biofilm

#3 If you know you have both a bacterial overgrowth and a fungal overgrowth (such as SIBO + Candida/ or Small Intestinal Fungal overgrowth), it is possible that you have biofilm.

#4 another thing that may clue you in to consider biofilm as part of the equation is when you see chronic sinus issues, Urinary tract infections, H.pylori, yeast, or Lyme disease... if you have any of these along with the gut infections, excess mucus around your bowel releases even excess gas these are other red flags.

Illnesses associated with biofilms can include:

-Chronic sinusitis
-Skin infections
-Chronic UTIs

-Candidiasis Lyme disease IBS
-Chronic GI issues

Since our bodies naturally just make this biofilm strictly to protect us like an intestinal barracade from toxins, parasites and bacteria and most people do not have adequate bowel habits we are left with this mucus like substance on the walls of our colons. This most of the time goes undetected mostly because biofilm doesn’t come to most people’s mind. Biofilms provide a sort of protective shield against detection and prevent traditional treatments from breaking through the EPS barrier to get to the targeted organisms. biofilms can make diagnosing and treating your chronic gut symptoms particularly problematic in this being a cause of illness or any other symptom of it. Biofilm disruptors are intended to be used to do just that, disrupt the biofilm. You must also use antimicrobials ( probiotics), a binder to help pull it out , gut detoxes like a colonics series or enema series to help pull it out and reduce loosen and knock down microbial counts.

Be Kind & Bind Gut Binder:

Binder Blend promotes detoxification by trapping toxins and moving them out of the body through the digestive tract. It supports digestive health, die off symptoms and cleansing.

Aloe: Soothes digestive discomfort, alleviates inflammation, and supports a healthy gut lining. Its natural enzymes aid in digestion, promoting better nutrient absorption and easing gastrointestinal issues.
Coconut Charcoal: A well-known binder, activated charcoal is a fine black powder made from carbon-based organic matter, usually coconut shells. It removes toxins and certain nutrients.
Zeolite Clay: Regulates the acid-base balance (pH) of the body, regulates metabolism in the large and small intestines, and affects anaerobic fermentation processes, reducing bloating and capturing and eliminating deposits from your body.
Slippery Elm Bark: A demulcent capable of soothing the lining of the stomach and intestines, reducing irritation. Recent studies have shown it can help treat symptoms associated with inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Chicory Root (Inulin): Keeps your gut healthy and constipation-free. The inulin in chicory root fiber is prebiotic, feeding the good bacteria in the gut. These good gut bacteria release substances that help you better digest food and increase gut motility. Chicory root fiber also supports the immune system, reduces cholesterol, and contains potassium and calcium.
